Coastline north of Cape Disappointment - WA. From November 18-20, 1805, Clark and several men explored Cape Disappointment and beyond, hoping to find some sign of white men. They found no trading post or any ships. The Corps voted to spend the winter on the Oregon side of the Columbia where game was more plentiful and the Indians, more friendly.
